People working in the emergency services, NHS, social care and armed forces will have access to over 30 special discounts for Black Friday on 29 November – released at 6am GMT. If you know someone who this applies to, share this article with them and say thank you for their dedication.
Deals can only be accessed via the Blue Light Card membership, the UK’s largest discount service for public sector workers.
I first heard about the Blue Light Card when my wonderful sister joined the NHS. Posting this article today also serves as my public shout out to her as she has spent the last few weeks away from her family learning how to drive ambulances at speed and through red lights, and emergency patient care.
She’s training as an Emergency Care Assistant with the paramedics, on her journey towards her dream of being a paramedic. Well done sis – I am proud of you! Glad one of us will be cool under pressure!

Black Friday is a huge event in the retail calendar, and this year is no exception. We anticipate huge demand from savvy shoppers looking to save money on Christmas presents this November – so I’d urge everyone to register early and make the most of the discounts as soon as they go live.
With a selection of bespoke offers and discounts up to 40% off RRP, Blue Light Card will be working with the following brands plus many more for Black Friday deals: Muscle Food, Lovehoney, BT, Hotpoint, Virgin Experience Days, Cineworld, Reebok and Virgin Wines.
