The sun is shining, the Easter holidays are nearly upon us and I’ve got a treat for you today!
I can’t believe how glorious the weather has been these last few days. We are just hoping that it stays this way when the children are off school for the holidays. Easter egg hunts are a lot more fun when they are outdoors!
This weekend we have been busy finding all the Easter bits which we’ve gathered over the years. One year I bought a plastic egg and spoon race kit from Sainsburys and the kids still LOVE it! We also love to do Spring themed crafts; the girls have made some beautiful crepe paper flowers for their teachers.
I’m so looking forward to this break with my family. I think the Easter holidays are one of the nicest school breaks as the weather is on the up and they are long enough to do plenty without them dragging like the summer holidays can. Are you going anywhere nice for Easter?

Always shop around and do not stick to one specific brand
Don’t buy things you don’t need
Plan meals in advance and then write a shopping list and stick to it, that way you dont end up buying things that you don’t really need
Freeze dinner leftovers,so you can always have an extra dinner up your sleeve 😃
Use cashback sites, especially for car insurance. It all adds up.
Save for the things you want 😍🤞🤞
Do lots of Internet research before buying.
Put a fixed amount in a savings account at the start of the month and don’t touch it!
Meal planning, then it’s easier to make a shopping list and not buy things you don’t need!
I never leave the house without my small A6 notebook. In it, I write down what I have spent on each date, what I have spent it on and it even has a little wallet in the back where I can temporarily store my receipts. It keeps you accountable for what you’ve spent and you can log how much you’ve spent and how much of your budget is left. I also have 2 pages in the back, a list of items I need to buy and a list of ‘treat’ items I want to buy but aren’t a necessity so I don’t purchase items on whim.
